Fellow bargain hunters, it’s our time to shine. Last month, we rejoiced when TheRealReal opened its doors on Knox. Now, Dallas has yet another destination for pre-loved pieces from luxury brands. Through the end of May, Rent The Runway is taking over a blush-pink storefront in West Village, where you can shop a plethora of designer goods for a fraction of their original prices.

The Rent The Runway concept allows customers to borrow designer pieces for a fraction of their retail price, then mail them back. No dry cleaning necessary. Some shoppers rent a piece for a special event and return it quickly. Others opt for a membership, which allows them to borrow a certain number of items at a time without a rush to return them. Eventually, apparel and accessories are pulled from the brand’s available stock to make room for next season’s styles. These pieces can then be purchased, not rented, on the company’s site at deep discounts. Now, at the West Village pop-up, you can browse these gems in person.

The pop-up includes hundreds of pieces of designer clothing, handbags, and accessories. Some of it is for sale at up to 90 percent off their original prices. Expect to see brands like AllSaints, Rag & Bone, Loeffler Randall, 31. Phillip Lim, Rebecca Minkoff, and Annie Bing.

The pop-up was organized by Leap, a startup based in Chicago that helps online brands experiment with in-person retail while eliminating the financial risks of opening a brick-and-mortar on their own. Brands can choose to open a long-term storefront or a temporary one, and from there, the company’s full-service platform handles everything: scouting locations, designing the space, handling installations, and hiring sales staff. In addition to Rent The Runway, Leap’s notable clientele includes Something Navy, Frank and Oak, KOIO, and Birdies.

The Rent The Runway pop-up will run through May 30 at 3699 McKinney Avenue, Suite 405. Stop in to shop Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m.
