A visit to someone’s home can prove extremely revealing. How we live in our most personal of spaces sheds light on more than just tastes and styles, but about who we are and what we value. In their various professional pursuits, the five people and families featured in these pages all exhibit an uncanny eye for style—so we wanted to see how that translated at home. (They kindly obliged.) The results are varied, personal, and—unsurprisingly—beautiful.

“My philosophy is if it’s not special, don’t buy it,” says interior designer Jennifer Littke. The Lakewood home she shares with her commercial director husband, Adam, and their toddler son, Raf, is the embodiment of that notion. From handwoven baskets brought back from England (“The woman who makes them grows all her own willow,” Jennifer says) to a Navajo rug found in Santa Fe (“It was the first thing that Adam and I bought together as homeowners”), every item on display has a story behind it.

With some significant for their provenance and others for their craftsmanship, the Littkes’ collections represent a life devoted to celebrating simple beauty and rare talent.
