Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 209 new COVID-19 cases and five deaths on Wednesday, continuing the streak of single digit deaths in Dallas County.


A large-scale COVID-19 vaccination center will open at UT Arlington Wednesday, administering an estimated 630+ doses a day. The site is a collaboration between Tarrant County and the UNT Health Scienes Center to expand vaccine access to the southeast portion of the county and UTA’s 40,000 students. Over 800 CVS locations in Texas will begin to offer walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations as President Joe Biden aims to have 70% of the country fully vaccinated by July Fourth. Read more from WFAA. 


The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported two strange cases of fraud as a California bar owner is arrested for selling fake COVID-19 vaccine cards to patrons and a former Massachusetts pizzeria owner used federal COVID-19 relief funds to buy an alpaca farm. These stories can be read here and here.
