Russ Anderson, President
After 38 years as president and CEO, Robbie Briggs is handing off day-to-day operations to Russ Anderson, the firm’s chief operating officer, who will now serve as president. Briggs will retain the CEO title and continue to oversee mission, vision, values, property development, and strategic initiatives.
Anderson will head up strategy, business planning, budgeting, sales, marketing, relocation services, finance, technology, and overall operations. He joined Briggs Freeman in 2018, with more than 30 years of experience in finance, banking, and sales management.
Anderson’s promotion comes at an exciting time for the firm, which generated $2.45 billion in total residential sales volume in 2020. Robbie Briggs, whose father founded the firm’s predecessor in 1960, led the company through a 2010 with Sotheby International Realty.

Drexell Owusu, Chief Impact Officer
As chief impact officer, Drexell Owusu will focus on the The Dallas Foundation’s community impact strategy to reduce intergenerational poverty, working to improve child well-being by investing in early childhood development programs. Most recently, Owusu was senior vice president of education and workforce at the Dallas Regional Chamber, where he focused on equitably growing the regional education and workforce pipeline. He is also the founder and chief executive officer of the former Brave Capital Partners.

Gian Craparo, Executive Vice President and National Sales Director
Stepping up from managing director of Hartman’s eastern division, Gian Craparo will take leadership of Hartman’s retail distribution team as executive vice president. In his new role, he will also assume responsibility for all national accounts. Previously, Craparo was vice president of sales at Resource Securities and also worked as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch.

Brandon Brawner, Vice President of Brokerage
Brandon Brawner will focus on tenant and landlord representation, as well as land acquisition and disposition. He joined The Retail Connection in 2015 and was previously assistant vice president. His experience includes leading Dunkin’s strategic expansion across Dallas-Fort Worth among other major projects, such as the disposition of non-operating Sunoco Gas Stations across Texas and land acquisition for Hwy 55 Burgers.
